Techniques to Manage eTPA

Cranial cruciate ligament injury (CrCL) is common in dogs. One predisposing factor responsible for CrCL injury in the dog is the presence of an excessive Tibial Plateau Angle (eTPA). Osteotomy techniques have become the most popular methods to stabilize the CrCL deficient stifle in the dog. A number of different osteotomy techniques have been described to effectively manage CrCL injury in the presence of eTPA, each with its inherent advantages and disadvantages.

This seminar will present techniques, including double-cut TPLO, mCrCWO, CBLO, and CORA-based TPLO. Surgeons with extensive knowledge and experience will present the advantages and disadvantages of their chosen technique. In addition, speakers will present outcomes, complications, and how to manage complications.
