Radiological Identification of the Challenging Total Hip Replacement

A critical radiological preview of the total hip replacement candidate is essential in order to determine the practicality of THR and to plan modifications to standard surgical technique. While templating for implant size and type is an important element of this preview, the philosophy of using templating to initiate the rehearsal of surgery will be presented with clinical examples. The advantage of CT-based 3D modeling in specific cases will also be discussed.
