This webinar will present two speakers presenting research regarding the use of Go-Pro cameras to facilitate surgical training in veterinary students. One speaker will present information on the stages of learning for psychomotor skills and Kolb’s Theory of Experiential Learning in the context of veterinary surgical learning. The research will be presented on how the utilization of video during surgical training can focus attention and harness reflection as a learning tool. The second speaker will describe options for using video recording during assessments of surgical skills, with a particular focus on assessment reliability and validity.
